My best friend’s family is Filipino, and her mom consistently makes the most delicious food. One of her best (in my opinion) and simplest recipes is for soy sesame green beans, and they are wildly addicting. My friend and I have been known to sit at the dining room table and devour an entire bowl. This recipe is inspired by hers, and I love it just the same.

These green beans would be a great side dish for any Asian-inspired meal, but good luck getting them to the table without eating them all right out of the pan! I attempted to make these last night to bring to work for lunch today. Instead, I ate every last green bean right out of the pan. Then today when I made them a second time to perfect my recipe, I ate them all again. Zero guilt, people. They’re that good.

This recipe can easily be made gluten free by substituting tamari or any certified gluten-free soy sauce instead of conventional soy sauce.

Very well done! It is not easy to make great pictures of green beans 😉
Thanks Francesca!
