Easy homemade nut milk made with ingredients and tools you have at home.
I found a beautiful blog last night and what inspired me was THIS video, showing how easy it is to make homemade nut milk!
You can choose to make nut milk with any kind of nut that you prefer. I really love almonds so I chose to use those, but I bet pecan milk would also be incredible. This only took about 10-15 minutes from start to finish. Next time I think I will double the amount of nuts so that it will hopefully be more creamy. Also, I cut the recipe from the video in half.
Homemade Nut Milk
Choose your type of nut. Any kind you like!
Measure 1/2 cup of nuts and put in a bowl. Cover with water and soak for 8 hours.
Then, drain and rinse your nuts.
Pour the nuts into a blender and cover with 2 cups of water. Blend!
Next, line a pitcher with cheese cloth to strain the milk. Add the blended mixture to the cheese cloth and squeeze tightly to remove all of the milk.
And there you have it! Your own, homemade, fresh and delicious raw nut milk! You can also add honey or vanilla as well!
